What makes art different in every region?

To learn how art is different in each region i will have to research:

1.  How are art styles in North America different from Europe, and South America?
2. Are inspirations for art different in North America, Europe, and South America?
3. Is art influenced from religion, culutre or life style/events?

I know that there are many different styles of art used. Some regions like to use a specific style of art because it might reflect their life style or envirnment. I would like to find out how art styles change according to how or where they live?
