Tupac Shakur
- Tupacs real name was Lesane Parish Crooks till his step mom renamed him.
- growing up him and his family moved place to place not being able to keep a home.
- when his family finally settled in Baltimore he attended the elite Baltimore School of the Arts but never got to grauduate because his family decided to move again.
- after his family moved to calilfornia he started selling drugs and getting involved in gangs.
- in 1990 he joined Digital Underground and hit the billboard top 40 hits with his single
"The Humpty Dance." - his solo debut album 2Pacalypse was a big break from the dance party sound of digital underground.
- his success became a big influnce on his gangsta lifestyle.
- after his conviction for sexual assault in 1994 he came out of jail to release his third album "Me Against the World."
- tupac was paroled after serving eight months in prison and signed with Suge Knight's Death Row Records.
- on sept. 7, 1996 tupac was leaving a casino in Las Vegas where he attended a Mike Tyson fight he was shot by an unknown person and died six days later.
